James E. Holloway, Sr. was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri to the proud parents of James and Annie Holloway; he is the oldest of five (5) children. He attended St. Louis Public Schools, such as Banneker, John Marshall and Turner Middle Schools. He is a proud graduate of Charles Sumner High School, class of 1967. He also attended University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) College, majoring in Business Administration. He later received an Honorary Doctorate from The International Bible College and Seminary in July 1996. 

Dr. James E. Holloway, Sr. was united in holy matrimony to Linda D. Holloway on June 14, 1970 and to them they have three wonderful children Lisa R. (Holloway) Johnson, James Holloway, Jr. and Keon Holloway. They have been blessed with seven fantastic grandchildren. 

Dr. James E. Holloway, Sr. was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1968. He worked faithfully in the house of the Lord as a maintenance worker, teacher, and choir member for nine (9) years. He was called and ordained into ministry in May 1969. He was then called to be the assistant pastor of The Church of the Good Sheppard where he served for nine (9) years. Through his faithfulness to the work of the Lord, God moved him into the field of evangelism over the City of St. Louis and East St. Louis. While evangelizing under a tent in St. Louis, Missouri, God called him to find and pastor this ministry (Solomon’s Temple Church) for currently over 35years. He presently still holds an annual “All About Souls Community Tent Revival for the souls of men in and out of town. 

In addition to ministering, he has been blessed to produce two 45-rpm single record s entitled “Seal Me Lord” and “That’s My 

Mamma”. In addition, with the help of his son, James E. Holloway, Jr., he has also produced three cds entitled “My Heart is Filled with Praise”, “It’s Our Time”, and “A Change Has Come” and an album entitled “A New Touch”. He has written and published The Solomon’s Temple Baby Saints Handbook, which is currently being used in Bible classes at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley and a handbook “How to Be a Warrior”. He served a ride along clergy with the St. Louis Police 

Department and with several St. Louis City Hospitals. He was also the founder and principal of The Solomon’s Temple Child 

Development Academy, which had been in existence for more than 30 years. The Baby Saints Book has been distributed in the Republic of Kenya to over 500 churches. Bishop has also done missionary work in Nairobi, Nigeria, Sweden, Italy, Jerusalem and Mexico. He has been a special guest on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network) with Paul and Jan Crouch. He has now established and started the Solomon’s Temple Christian Bible College, along with Prophetess Linda D.Holloway. 

Bishop James E. Holloway, Sr. is also a radio and television pastor who reaches the souls of many in and out of state. He can be heard daily on KXEN, on Mon., Wed., and Fri-St. Louis, Missouri, Gospel 1600 on Fri. “Prayer Time with the Bishop” live prayer line. He can also can be heard WKBA/WKPA, WTOY in Virginia. His television broadcast can be seen on St. Louis City and County cable television stations. 

From under the leadership of Bishop James E. Holloway, Sr., six new ministries have been birthed. 

Bishop James E. Holloway, Sr.’s vision is to continually let the Lord use him to reach a lost world through preaching, teaching, evangelizing, Christian education and lifting up the name of Jesus. He knows in his heart and spirit, “It’s All About Souls”.
